Vogue Magazine "An eclectic mix of characters frequent this off-beat and very narrow, hip bar. Shimmy up and celebrate the art of hand shaken premium cocktails...."

"Chicago's most intimate bar."

At 460 square feet, The Matchbox could be the smallest tavern in chicago. Having stood at the corner of Ogden, Milwaukee and Chicago for 75 years, "The Box" has witnessed much of Chicago's History.

For the past ten years, David Gevercer (bio) has kept "the most intimate bar In Chicago" stocked with curious spirits, quirky cocktails and array of cigars and cigarettes.

Bartenders actually have personalities and so do the drinks. From the Gimlet made with fresh lime juice to the perfect Manhattan garnished with french cherries, the cocktails exhibit the staff's commitment to quality and fun.

On Monday July 4th, The Silver Palm Restaurant and The Matchbox will host a 10th Anniversary Cook-Out from 4pm till 8 pm. Both Establishments will open at 3pm on July 4th.
